Welcome to the  Joint Translational Institute of Science and Technology (JTI)

JTI was founded in 2016 as a result of a joint memorandum of cooperation by the University of Haifa (UH) and East China Normal University (ECNU)

The JTI aims to become a world-class, interdisciplinary, innovative base for translational science and technology in the field of environmental sciences, neurosciences, biomedicine and statistics. Acting together we will provide effective support for the economic and social sustainable development in Israel and China.

As a first step we have created in the Zizhu International Education Park in Shanghai, the JTI building. This 4 story building includes  5,000 square meters (~  53,000 square feet) of research and office space, including state-of-the-art laboratories, computerized classrooms and seminar rooms as well as individual and collaborative workspaces for graduate students.

We have now opened our search for multi-disciplinary research groups
that will populate the JTI building, with a start date as early as October 2019!
We envision research groups that combine cutting edge computational and
experimental biology tools to study basic questions in biology and bio-medicine,
underlying future translational health solutions. PIs would be jointly appointed to
both UH and ECNU and would enjoy joint support of both universities.
